Born in 1978, Sandra Kheir Sahyoun talents originated in her childhood. Self-taught painter, she exhibited in 2006 for the first time in Robert Mouawad Private Museum.

She finds her inspiration raw material in the media broth we daily absorb and the hundreds of photographs taken throughout our travels. She works on the connection between images brought out from their context and combined or developed side- by -side using different techniques or layers in one single painting.

Transparency alternates between the figures and the background and we can see through the space opening between silhouettes, graphic symbols, abstract or geometrical shapes, another layer of reality where like in real life we try to understand other cultures through the screen of our own knowledge and history.
